Oven Baked Corn On The Cob

I am intimidated by the grill. I have never used one and knowing me I would burn anything I tried to cook on the grill. I usually boil corn but looking through pins on Pinterest I noticed a few friends pinning stuff about baking corn. I Googled it and searched through several and gave it a try.
All you have to do is:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Leave corn in husk place on baking sheet or right on the rack
Bake for 30-35 minutes
I keep my corn in the refrigerator so I did 35 minutes. Now after the trial tonight I would recommend doing the larger ears of corn a little longer. They were done at 35 minutes but not quite as soft as the smaller ones.
Overall they were great. I just added a little butter, salt, and pepper. I think I will be cooking them like this for now on.

Easy Pork Stir Fry

 Ingredients:
Thin sliced boneless pork chops
1 bag of frozen mixed veggies
Minute rice
Soy Sauce
Salt
Pepper
Garlic

I use Minute Rice and you will want to start the rice before you cook the veggies and meat.
I use the one measured for 2 servings on the box.
It is called Minute Rice but it takes about 7 minutes. You heat the water to boiling, add rice, stir, remove from heat, cover with a lid, and wait 5 minutes.

Cut pork chops into squares
Heat oil in skillet. Once hot add veggies and cook until tender.
Add pork
Cook until all meat is cooked through. Add seasonings.
Add minute rice.
Add a few dashes of soy sauce and stir.
Easy and quick dinner.
Enjoy.

Crock Pot Hamburger Veggie Soup

I had been craving some vegetable soup for a while. I had never made it before and decided to give it a try.
I did a twist to how people usually make it. I used ground hamburger.

Ingredients:
1 pound of ground hamburger
1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables
1 large can of Hunts tomato sauce
1 small can of chicken broth
1-2 potatoes pealed and cubed
Seasonings

Directions:
Fry the hamburger and drain grease. Peal and cut potatoes.
Add the hamburger, potatoes, mixed vegetables, tomato sauce, chicken broth, and desired seasonings to the crock pot. Cook on high for 3-4 hours until potatoes are done.

Pepperoni Rolls

I have posted this recipe before but wanted to share it again. I love these.
Ingredients: pepperoni, Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, cheese of your choice.
Let the dinner rolls thaw in pain sprayed with non stick spray until pliable like dough.
Flatten rolls add pepperoni and cheese
Fold all sides over until it looks like a ball
Put back in pan let rise for 4-6 hours depending on how warm your kitchen is.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 or until golden brown on top.
I mix butter and garlic and coat the tops after they are finished.
After they cool they are ready to eat.

The Wonder Weeks

The Wonder Weeks are mental leaps in the first 20 months of your child's life where they learn something new. This could be the reason behind the crankiness of your child. If you are expecting or already have a child this is a must read. They have a book and an app for your phone you can find everything here at their website http://www.thewonderweeks.com/.

We are going through a Wonder Week right now. We are at week 64 and let me tell you it is difficult. He has the three C's mentioned on the website: clinginess, crankiness, and crying. It will all be better eventually but it is a trying time. I know how hard it is when nothing seems to help but happy baby will be back soon. Until then good luck.
